Creator Terms
Last updated: May 7, 2026 · Version 2026-05-07
1. Scope
These Creator Terms apply to anyone who uses Acenxia to publish a marketplace map (a “Creator”). They are an addendum to the Acenxia Terms of Service and apply in addition to them. If a conflict arises, these Creator Terms control for activities specific to publishing or selling maps.
2. Eligibility and account tiers
Anyone with an Acenxia account can create a Creator profile and draft maps at no cost. A Creator's first approved marketplace map may be published without buying a slot. Publishing additional maps requires either (a) a paid publish slot, or (b) an available Creator+ publish credit, as described in Sections 3 and 4.
Existing published maps remain accessible to people who already adopted them regardless of the Creator's current tier. Acenxia does not require a separate Acenxia subscription on top of a publish slot or Creator+ to keep maps live in the marketplace.
3. Publish slots (one-time purchase)
The first approved marketplace map for a Creator is included at no additional publish-slot cost. This first-map allowance is single-use, non-transferable, and consumed when the first submitted map is approved for publication.
After the first included publication, a publish slot is a single-use credit that allows one additional map to be published. Slots cost US$5.00 each. There is no lifetime cap on how many slots a Creator may purchase, and slots do not expire once purchased.
A slot is consumed atomically at the moment a submitted map is approved for publication. Slots are not consumed when a map is submitted for review, when a map is rejected, or when a map is edited as a revision of an already-published map. Once consumed, a slot is bound to the map it published and cannot be reassigned to a different map.
Publish slots are non-refundable. This applies whether the slot is unconsumed, was consumed by a map that has since been unpublished, archived, deleted, or rejected, or was consumed by a map that received fewer adoptions than the Creator hoped. Purchasing a slot buys the right to publish one additional map — it does not entitle the Creator to ongoing platform performance or to a specific revenue outcome.
4. Creator+ subscription
Creator+ is an optional monthly subscription that bundles publish credits with additional Creator-tier features. While the subscription is active, Creator+ provides:
- Five publish slots granted at the start of each billing cycle. These slots are non-cumulative — unused slots from the current cycle expire when the next cycle begins and do not roll over.
- Eligibility for verification badge review, displayed on map cards and the public profile while Creator+ is active (see Section 5).
- Up to five social links on the public profile, increased from the one link visible on the free and slot tiers.
- Priority review of submitted maps and priority support handling.
- Eligibility for editorial featured placement at the discretion of Acenxia. Selection is not guaranteed by the subscription itself.
Creator+ slots and one-time slots stack. A Creator+ subscriber may purchase additional one-time slots beyond the five included with the cycle and consume them on the same publish flow.
Lapse and renewal. If a Creator+ subscription is canceled or otherwise lapses, maps that were already published remain live in the marketplace. Unused publish slots from the then-current billing cycle remain available until the cycle's scheduled end date, at which point they expire and are not replaced. The verification badge stops displaying, the public profile reverts to one visible social link, priority review and support no longer apply, and any active featured placement is subject to removal. Resubscribing to Creator+ restores all of the above without administrative re-review; verification status, in particular, is preserved on the Creator's record and the badge re-appears upon resubscription.
Creator+ subscription fees are billed monthly in advance and are not refundable for partial months. Cancellation prevents future charges and stops the next cycle's slot grant. Creator+ cancellation does not refund or re-credit slots that were already consumed during the cycle, nor does it extend the lifetime of any unconsumed grant beyond the cycle's scheduled end date.
5. Verification badge
The verification badge is an editorial recognition that a Creator has been reviewed by Acenxia as a content creator with attributable public output (a channel, podcast, portfolio, or similar). Eligibility to request review is conditional on holding an active Creator+ subscription at the time of the request.
Verification is reviewed by Acenxia at our discretion and may be approved, denied, or revoked at any time. Approval is not a guarantee of authenticity or quality of any specific map and does not represent an endorsement of the Creator's content. The badge displays on map cards and the public profile only while Creator+ is active; verification status is preserved across lapses and is restored when the subscription resumes.
Acenxia may revoke verification if the Creator's output materially changes, if the linked source becomes unreachable, if a third-party complaint is substantiated, or for any other reason consistent with these Creator Terms or platform policies. Revocation is not a refund event for any prior or future Creator+ charges.
6. Your content and license
You retain all rights in the maps you publish. By submitting a map for review you grant Acenxia a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, format, transmit, and distribute that content as part of the Service, including in previews, search results, recommendations, and adopter copies.
This license persists for as long as adopters retain their copies of the map and is necessary so we can keep adopters' missions functional after a map is unpublished.
You represent that you have the rights to all content you publish and that nothing in your maps infringes a third party's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
7. Acceptable content
You may not publish maps that contain illegal content, harassment, hateful speech, sexual content involving minors, instructions for real-world harm, malware, or material that violates a third party's rights. You also may not use maps to send spam or to promote unrelated paid products in lieu of teaching content.
We may remove any map at our discretion if it is reported, flagged by automated systems, or judged to violate these Creator Terms or the Acenxia Terms of Service. Removal is not, by itself, grounds for refund of a publish slot, a Creator+ charge, or a paid-map purchase.
8. Buyer payments and platform fee
Free maps cost adopters nothing. Paid maps must be priced at or above the platform minimum of US$5.00. Acenxia retains a platform fee of 20% of the gross sale price for each paid-map purchase. The remaining 80% is the Creator's share, paid out via the Creator's own Stripe Connect account.
Stripe processing fees on paid-map purchases are absorbed by Acenxia and are not deducted from the Creator's share. Currency conversion, cross-border, or balance-related fees charged by Stripe to the Creator's connected account remain the Creator's responsibility.
Acenxia uses Stripe Connect Standard. The Creator owns the connected Stripe account and the relationship with Stripe directly, including KYC, tax forms, payout schedule, and dispute responses.Acenxia does not handle payouts, hold creator funds, or issue 1099s.
9. Refunds and chargebacks
Publish slots and Creator+ subscription charges are non-refundable as described in Sections 3 and 4. Paid-map purchases by adopters are also final; see the Refund Policy for the platform-level statement covering buyer purchases.
Chargebacks initiated by buyers are handled by Stripe against the Creator's connected account, in accordance with Stripe's standard dispute process. Excessive chargebacks or fraud may result in suspension of publishing rights and is grounds for removing existing listings.
Statutory rights that cannot be waived under the Creator's local consumer-protection law are preserved by these Creator Terms.
10. Reviews, moderation, and reports
Maps are reviewed before publication. Acenxia may approve, reject (with a reason), or require changes. Maps may be archived, unfeatured, or removed at any time in response to abuse reports, intellectual-property complaints, or independent moderation findings. Existing adopters retain their cloned copy of an archived map.
11. Versioning and updates
Creators may publish a new version of a map by editing a sibling draft and resubmitting for review. Republishing a revision does not consume a new publish slot — the original publish slot remains bound to the map across versions. Adopters keep the version they originally adopted and decide whether and when to upgrade. Upgrading a slot replaces the adopter's existing progress in that slot with a fresh clone of the latest version.
12. Termination
You may stop publishing at any time by archiving your maps, cancelling Creator+, or deleting your Creator profile. Voluntary termination does not refund consumed publish slots, prior Creator+ charges, or already-distributed adoptions. Acenxia may suspend or terminate Creator access for material breach of these Creator Terms, the Acenxia Terms of Service, applicable law, or platform policies. Adopters retain access to maps they have already adopted unless those maps are removed for legal or safety reasons.
13. Tax
Creators are responsible for declaring and paying taxes on their map revenue, including VAT, sales tax, and income tax where applicable. Stripe Connect Standard issues tax forms to the Creator. Acenxia is not the merchant of record on the Creator's share and does not provide tax advice.
14. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The publishing tools are provided “as is”. Acenxia disclaims warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law. Aggregate liability under these Creator Terms is limited to the platform fees retained by Acenxia on sales of the Creator's maps in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, plus any publish-slot or Creator+ amounts paid by the Creator to Acenxia in that same period.
15. Governing law
These Creator Terms are governed by Laws of Germany, without limiting any non-waivable consumer protections in the Creator's jurisdiction.
16. Changes
We may update these Creator Terms to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. Substantive changes bump the version string at the top of this page; Creators with an outdated acceptance must re-accept before submitting new maps for review.
